Build Dream in New Era, Start Again for Youth--Beijing Normal University Law School Theme CYL Day Event Summary
President XI Jinping proposed at Peking University Teacher and Student Symposium that: “young people are both dream chasers and dream fulfiller. Chasing dream needs passion and ideal, fulfilling dream needs effort and dedication. Young people should release passion in fighting, chase ideal of youth, build road and bridge for national rejuvenation and construction.” To actively respond to the appeal of the 19th NPC, strengthen ideological construction, cultivate young people with ideal, skill and responsibility in new era, and guide young people to establish correct value, Sub-CYL Committee of Law School conducted various theme education activities with rich content in May to guide young people to be consciously and closely unified around the Party Central Committee with the core of President XI Jinping, and resolutely listen to the Party and follow the Party.
I. Wear League badge, solemn and serious
The Sub-CYL Committee prepared CYL badge for CYL branches, and required CYL members to wear the badge and sing CYL anthem in CYL event, so as to strengthen the sense of personal identification as CYL members.
II. Book drift, think for academic career
The Sub-CYL Committee bought excellent books as Seven Years of Educated Youth of XI Jinping, XI Jinping Talks About Governing the Country for CYL branches, conducted book drift event in the whole school, and guided young students to study the spirit of the 19th NPC, concern about people in the whole world and study hard.
III. Watch movie of May Fourth, review the faith
Youth League Branch of Hande Experimental Class of 2016 of our school conducted “” CYL Day Event. The movie told significant historical events during 10 years from the Revolution of 1911 to the 1st Conference of CPC, students reviewed the brilliant history of May 4th Movement and the founding of the Party, and hardships of revolutionary martyrs who experienced numerous difficulties and dangerous and made unremitting fights, finally founded Chinese Communist Party to save the nation and people in distress.
This movie watching event inspired the spirit of patriotism and social responsibility for selfless devotion of students, publicized the progress spirit of democracy and science and May 4th spirit that followed the tide and grasped the fate of the time, and made students have deeper understanding of May 4th spirit.
IV. Research and discuss, keep the mission in mind
Youth League Branch of Academic Master of 2015 of our school conducted “Stay Truth to the Mission, Follow the Party--Carefully Study Thoughts and Speech of President XI Jinping in New Era” CYL Day Event. The event was divided into six parts: The Secretary of Youth League Branch defined the purpose and meaning of the event, all members sang the anthem of Youth League, members actively studied speech of President XI Jinping at Peking University Teacher and Student Symposium, Secretary of Youth League Branch organized members to study (centralized study of League constitution, League history and relevant document in the League), members discussed study results, reported experience and Secretary of Youth League Branch summarized.
Through the study, the League members decided to keep in line with the League organization ideologically, study hard and try to become the youth that President XI Jinping expected, and defined attitude and responsibility in study, work and life in the future.
V. Paris Peace Conference, reproduce the storm
To inherit May Fourth moment spirit of students of Beijing Normal University in caring for the fate of nation and people, loving the country, being bold to explore and innovate, actively fighting on the front line of revolution, Youth League Branch of Hande Experimental Class of 2017 of our school and Youth League Branch of Excellent Experimental Class of 2017 organized “Stay True to the Mission, Follow the Party” Youth Day Theme CYL Day Event.
By simulating Paris Peace Conference, students reproduced the unpredictable international society in early 20th century. All delegates actively gave speech and discussed, fully utilized their knowledge of history and politics and collected materials, tried to recover current international environment, truly showed interest dispute of all countries, and proposed unique opinion and proposal for the interest of the country they acted for. After the simulation conference, students watched relevant segment of Paris Peace Conference from movie My 1919, and felt the shameless conduct of big powers. The righteous speech of GU Weijun at the conference and refutation against the unreasonable demand of Japan inspired the patriotic enthusiasm of students.
Under the leadership of Party General Branch of Law School, Sub-CYL Committee of Law School insists on leading the youth by ideology, educating the youth by action, encourages CYL branches to actively conduct activities, implement patriotism and spirit of loving the Party deep in the mind of students, guides young students to study and publicize XI Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the 19th NPC of the Party, effectively implements the spirit in head, heart and action, and contributes to realizing comprehensive implementation of the rule of law and making the people master of the country.
